Sardine (\u0d2e\u0d24\u0d4d\u0d24\u0d3f &nbsp;OR \u0d1a\u0d3e\u0d33 ) in curry or fried form is a regular diet on Malayali\u2019s cuisine. Sardine is an abundant sea fish variety in Indian costs and is well known as a rich source of Omega-3. The recipe I present here is the one I like the most among the slight different variation of fries I tried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sardine (\u0d2e\u0d24\u0d4d\u0d24\u0d3f ) &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 15<\/li><li>Ginger garlic paste&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 1 T sp.<\/li><li>Chilli powder&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 2 \u00bd T sp.<\/li><li>Turmeric powder&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : \u00bd T sp.<\/li><li>Fennel powder&nbsp;&nbsp; : \u00bc &nbsp;T sp.<\/li><li>Pepper powder&nbsp; :1 \u00bd &nbsp;T sp.<\/li><li>Water for making masala paste<\/li><li>Salt to taste<\/li><li>Oil for&nbsp;shallow frying<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Clean the fish well and make gashes on the fish in both sides, that masala can penetrate inside.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"P2S CleaningSardines\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/18anUWinrqE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Make a&nbsp; thick paste with the masala ingredients (ingredients 2 -8)<\/li>\n<li>Marinate the fish with the masala paste and keep for minimum 2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Put a pan on the stove, pour enough oil for frying<\/li>\n<li>Once the oil is hot gently put the fish in an order, not overcrowd the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Fry the both sides in medium heat.<\/li>\n<li>Once fried, take out the fish and is ready to serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sardine-fry\/mathi-fry_pepper2salt\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-954\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-954\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/mathi-Fry_Pepper2Salt.jpg\" alt=\"mathi-Fry_Pepper2Salt\" width=\"640\" height=\"249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/mathi-Fry_Pepper2Salt.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/mathi-Fry_Pepper2Salt-300x116.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is special for Keralites.
