It is used to cure many diseases in Siddha and Ayurveda treatments. Keeping this as a regular part of the diet is believed to boost memory power naturally.<\/p>\n<p>The recipe here is my custom preparation, of a quick chutney mix of vellara keerai and lentle, which will go well with Dosa or Idly. Kids going to love its taste for sure\u2026.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Urud daal (Lentil)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 3 T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Grated Coconut \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 3 Tbl sp.<\/li>\n<li>Green chilly\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 5<\/li>\n<li>Tamarind\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 Gooseberry size<\/li>\n<li>Brahmi\u00a0 : 1 cup.<\/li>\n<li>Oil\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 3 T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Salt\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : To taste<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure id=\"attachment_895\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-895\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/brahmi-chutney\/dsc_0355\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-895\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-895\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/DSC_0355.jpg\" alt=\"Ingredients\" width=\"640\" height=\"347\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/DSC_0355.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/DSC_0355-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-895\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ingredients<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pour the 2 T sp. oil on a pan (kadai) and add the urud dal along with green chilli.<\/li>\n<li>Once the dal became golden color add the coconut and fry for about 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the fried mix from the pan and keep aside.<\/li>\n<li>Pour 1 T sp. oil\u00a0and saut\u00e9 the brahmi leaves until it shrunk (About 2 minutes).<\/li>\n<li>Grind the fried daal and coconut mix along with tamarind and salt .<\/li>\n<li>Once it ground to coarse, add the brahmi leaves , grind everything well.
