In this preparation I used a mix of both <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amaranthus_dubius\">Red Spinach<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chard\">Swiss Chard<\/a>. Though the choice of &nbsp;additional vegetables we can have is that we use in the traditional <a href=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/aviyal\/\">Aviyal<\/a> recipe, the Spinach pieces to be the dominant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Red Spinach or\/and Swiss chard &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 1 bunch<\/li><li>Jackfruit seeds (cooked)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 20<\/li><li>Cucumber &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 1<\/li><li>Chayote &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 1<\/li><li>Yogurt. : 1 Tbl -Sp (adjust)<\/li><li>Curry leaves<\/li><li>Salt for taste<\/li><li>Coconut oil &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 2 T- Sp.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For Masala Mix<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Coconut &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 1 \u00bd Cup (adjust)<\/li><li>Jeera\/ cumin seeds &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : \u00bc T-Sp.<\/li><li>Garlic &nbsp; : 2 cloves<\/li><li>Chilly powder &nbsp;&nbsp; : 1 T-Sp (adjust)<\/li><li>Turmeric powder&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : \u00bd T- Sp.<\/li><li>Green chilly &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : 2<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Remove the thick stems and cut it into long pieces<\/li><li>Roughly chop the leaves.<\/li><li>Cut the cucumber, jack fruit seed and chayote in to long pieces.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-1024x457.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4625\" width=\"542\" height=\"241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-1024x457.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-300x134.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-150x67.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-768x343.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-1536x686.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv-750x335.jpg 750w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/CAv.jpg 1653w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 542px) 100vw, 542px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In a mixer, add all the ingredients mentioned for grinding and make a coarse mixture .<\/li><li>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Karahi\">kadai<\/a>\/ pan add the spinach stems along with vegetable pieces ,a pinch of turmeric powder and salt , close the lid and cook.<\/li><li>The vegetable we use itself will be oozing some water to cook. If you feel there is not enough water to cook, sprinkle some water.<\/li><li>Then add jackfruit seeds and the leaves, close the lid and cook it.
