Here I am sharing recipe for a quick make Dum Biryani recipe, that can\nbe put together relatively easy, still having the traditional Dum Biryani taste,\ntexture and aroma\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Chicken pieces ( big sizes) \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2.5 lbs<\/li><li>Plain yoghurt \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 \u00bc Cup<\/li><li>Chilly powder  : 2 \u00bd Tbl-sp ( Adjust)<\/li><li>Coriander powder \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 T-Sp<\/li><li>Chicken masala \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 T-Sp<\/li><li>Turmeric powder \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bc -Sp<\/li><li>Cumin powder \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bc T-Sp<\/li><li>Garam masala \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bc T-Sp<\/li><li>Ginger garlic paste \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 Tbl- Sp<\/li><li>Salt <\/li><li>Oil \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 T-Sp<\/li><li>Ghee \u00a0\u00a0  : \u00bc Cup<\/li><li>Mint leaves\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00a0One handful<\/li><li>Saffron water<\/li><li>Fried onions<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For Rice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rice 3\nCup<\/li><li>Salt <\/li><li>Oil 2\nTsp<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Wash the rice until the water clears then soak it for about 20-30 minutes <\/li><li>Boil plenty of water in a big pot with enough salt and 2 T-sp of oil .<br>Once it\u2019s boiled well, add the rice and cook it half. Drain it quickly to a colander for avoiding over cooking the rice.<\/li><li>Cut the chicken into big pieces and marinate with coriander powder, chilly powder, cumin powder, chicken masala, turmeric powder, garam masala, oil, salt and ginger garlic paste; keep it in the fridge for about 4 hours. Overnight marination is preferred.<\/li><li>Generously grease a thick bottom vessel \/pot and place the chicken pieces, make sure to touch each piece of chicken in the vessel. Don\u2019t over crowd the chicken.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"577\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/QDM1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/QDM1.jpg 577w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/QDM1-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/QDM1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 577px) 100vw, 577px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pour the yogurt on top of the chicken and then add the mint leaves.<\/li><li>Sprinkle some rice on top of the chicken and sprinkle some saffron water and ghee. Continue the this layering until all the rice is in the vessel. <\/li><li>Add some mint leaves, fried onions along with the balance ghee to the top of the rice.<\/li><li>Seal it with aluminum foil and close it with a proper lid.
