This South Kerala Style\u00a0Crab Roast\/\u0d1e\u0d23\u0d4d\u0d1f\u0d4d Roast preparation, the crab is cooked in gravy enriched with gamboge (\u0d15\u0d41\u0d1f\u0d02\u0d2a\u0d41\u0d33\u0d3f) and\u00a0<em><strong>Kerala<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0spices. The natural sweetness infused along with the spicy\u00a0<em><strong>masala<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0brings out the best in this exotic dish.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Crab : 2.50 Lb<\/li>\n<li>Crushed Garlic : 15 cloves<\/li>\n<li>Crushed ginger : \u00bd inch pieces<\/li>\n<li>Green chilly : 2<\/li>\n<li>Chilli powder : 3 Tbl- Sp(Adjust)<\/li>\n<li>Pepper powder : 1 \u00bd \u00a0T- Sp<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder : \u00bc t- Sp<\/li>\n<li>Curry leaves<\/li>\n<li>Salt for taste<\/li>\n<li>Coconut oil : \u00bc Cup (Adjust)<\/li>\n<li>Kudampuli (gambooge -\u0d15\u0d41\u0d1f\u0d02\u0d2a\u0d41\u0d33\u0d3f ): 3 pieces(Adjust)<\/li>\n<li>Vinegar : 1 T- sp<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/crab-roast\/crabs-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4049\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4049\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/crabs1.jpg\" alt=\"crabs\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/crabs1.jpg 448w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/crabs1-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/crabs1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Here I used cooked crab from supermarket and removed the top shell and cut it into 2 pieces. If you are getting small crabs, no need for cutting. If you are using fresh crab, clean it and cook it with salt and \u00bc T- Sp of turmeric powder before making the roast.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in a pan\/kadai, add the crushed ginger along with garlic ,green chili and curry leaves; fry it until light brown.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the flame to low and add the chilli powder along with turmeric powder, pepper powder\u00a0 and kudampuli; fry it until the raw smells goes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the crab pieces and salt, stir it for about 2 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Add 1 cup of water\u00a0and close the lid and cook it in reduced the flame, open the lid and stir it in between.
