This root vegetable of Latin American origin is a rich source of carbohydrates. A small amount of toxins are present in tapioca which will be removed by boiling couple of times\u00a0 &amp; draining the water.Kappa Vevichathu (\u0d15\u0d2a\u0d4d\u0d2a\u00a0 \u0d35\u0d47\u0d35\u0d3f\u0d1a\u0d4d\u0d1a\u0d24\u0d4d\u200c)\u00a0 is a common man\u2019s preparation of Kerala. This in combination with fish curry is a popular combo from poor-man\u2019s kitchen -now a day &#8211; to even to 5-stars hotels in Kerala.
