It is typically prepared during the Ramzan days for \u201cnombuthura\u201d .\u00a0&#8230; Unnakkaya is prepared with smashed bananas stuffed with cashew nuts, raisins and rice flakes.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Riped plantains : 2<\/li>\n<li>Grated coconut : 1 Cup<\/li>\n<li>Cashews&amp;raisins : \u00bc Cup<\/li>\n<li>Sugar \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bc Cup<\/li>\n<li>Cardamom powder : 1 T-Sp<\/li>\n<li>Ghee \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 T- Sp<\/li>\n<li>Oil for frying<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select right plantain ie,it should not be too ripe or too raw.<\/li>\n<li>Steam the plantains with skin, once its cooked remove the skin and seeds from inside.<\/li>\n<li>Mash the plantain very well without any lumps, I cut the plantains into pieces and grind it in a mixer\/bleder (don\u2019t add any water for grinding).
