Finely chopped carrot and broccoli is cooked with masala prepared of grated coconut. Mix both well and keep aside.<\/li>\n<li>Finely chop the onion.<\/li>\n<li>In a mixer add the coconut, green chilli, geera, garlic along with turmeric powder and make a dry and coarse masala mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a pan and pour the oil, add the mustard seeds and let it splutter.<\/li>\n<li>Add urud dal and fry it until it turn brown followed by whole red chilli and curry leaves.<\/li>\n<li>Then add the chopped onion and saut\u00e9 it until translucent.<\/li>\n<li>Add the coconut mixture and saut\u00e9 it for about a minute.<\/li>\n<li>Add the carrot and broccoli along with enough salt.<\/li>\n<li>Saut\u00e9 it until cooked (still crispy).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/broccoli-carrot-thoran\/bct1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3340\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3340\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/BCT1.jpg\" alt=\"BCT1\" width=\"800\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/BCT1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/BCT1-150x59.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/BCT1-300x118.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tips:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Don\u2019t close the pan for the entire cooking.<\/li>\n<li>After adding the carrot and broccoli the typical cooking time is about 5 minutes in medium flame<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A healthy blend of two wonderful vegetables, prepared in Kerala side dish style.
