Mutton Biryani is very special for Muslim cuisines especially for festival occasions and marriages. This preparation is relatively easy and can put together quickly.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>For marinating mutton<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mutton\/ goat meat\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 500 Gm<\/li>\n<li>ChillI powder :\u00a0 1 Tbl-sp (adjust)<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder : \u00bc T- sp<\/li>\n<li>Ginger garlic paste\u00a0 : 2 T- sp<\/li>\n<li>Curd\/yoghurt\u00a0 : \u00bc T- sp<\/li>\n<li>Garam masala : \u00bc \u00a0-T sp<\/li>\n<li>Salt for taste<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>For biriyani<\/em><\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Basmati rice\u00a0 : \u00a02 CupS<\/li>\n<li>Water( including stock) : 3 CupS<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Sliced onion( big) : 1<\/li>\n<li>Chopped tomato(small) : 1<\/li>\n<li>Sliced chilli : 6 (adjust)<\/li>\n<li>Ginger garlic paste\u00a0 : 2 T sp<\/li>\n<li>Garam masala : \u00bc T- sp<\/li>\n<li>Mint\/pudina leaves\u00a0 : 15-20<\/li>\n<li>Oil \/ghee\u00a0 : 3 Tbl \u2013sp (adjust\u00a0)<\/li>\n<li>Salt for taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Whole masala:-<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cardamom 1, star anise1,cloves 3, cinnamon 1 small piece<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marinate the mutton pieces into the masala ingredients mentioned for marinating and keep it for an hour.<\/li>\n<li>In a pressure cooker add the mutton and cook it until soft (for me it took about 5 whistles, it will vary depends on the meat) .I didn&#8217;t add any water while cooking the mutton, if you prefer add \u00bc cup of water.<\/li>\n<li>Drain the stock\u00a0and keep it for later use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/mutton-biryani\/mb1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2831\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2831\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB1.jpg\" alt=\"MB1\" width=\"640\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB1-150x90.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB1-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a pressure cooker pour the oil\/ghee, add the whole masala and fry it one minute.<\/li>\n<li>Then add the Ginger garlic paste along with green chilli and fry it for about 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the sliced onion and fry it until brown color, then add the chopped tomato along with mint leaves\u00a0and fry it until smashed.<\/li>\n<li>Add the cooked mutton and fry it for about 5-6 minutes, then add the garam masala.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/mutton-biryani\/mb2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2832\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2832\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB2.jpg\" alt=\"MB2\" width=\"640\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB2-150x95.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB2-300x189.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add the washed and drained rice to the mutton mix and fry it gently without breaking the rice for about 2-3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the water and stock together, for 3 cups and add to the rice-mutton mix.<\/li>\n<li>Now add the salt and mix everything well.<\/li>\n<li>Close the pressure cooker and wait for 1 whistle, after the first whistle reduce the flame to low and cook for another 2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Switch off the flame and allow it to cool completely .after the pressure released open the cooker and mix the biryani gently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/mutton-biryani\/mb3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2835\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2835\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB3.jpg\" alt=\"MB3\" width=\"640\" height=\"396\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB3.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB3-150x93.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/MB3-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have more than five biryani recipes in this blog, but this this is my first Mutton Biryani recipe.
