It is also a source for some phyto-nutrients such as omega-6 fatty acids, flavonoid phenolic anti-oxidants, vitamins and dietary fiber with potent anti-cancer as well as health promoting properties. It is very low in Cholesterol and Sodium.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n1.\u00a0Ellu (Sesame)\u00a0\u00a0: 2 Cup<br \/>\n2.\u00a0Coconut\u00a0\u00a0: 1 Cup<br \/>\n3.\u00a0Jaggery \u00a0\u00a0: \u00bd Cup<br \/>\n4.\u00a0Cardamom Powder\u00a0: \u00bd Tsp.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0Ghee\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0: 1 Tsp.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat the Kadai and add the sesame seeds and dry roast till it splutters.<\/li>\n<li>Move the roasted seeds, to a wider plate (so that we can mix it easily later.<\/li>\n<li>Add the Ghee to kadai and put the coconut\u00a0 and fry\u00a0 it for 3-4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Crush the fried sesame seeds slightly in a Mixer, ( just to split each seed to 2-3 pieces)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Boil the crushed Jaggery in 3 Tbl-spoon water to make it as a syrup (Sarkara paani)<\/li>\n<li>Mix all the items in the wide plate with the syrup, before the syrup becomes cold.<\/li>\n<li>Make balls of the mix with hand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sesame seed is a good source of\u00a0 minerals such as Calcium, Iron, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and also good source of Copper an Manganese.
