For balancing the thickness, in this preparation I used both corn powder and pasted fresh corn kernels. Added with pepper powder, this well balanced appetizer is a perfect delight to enrich a multi-course dinner or as a simple &amp; light once-coarse-meal.<\/p>\n<p><b><!--more-->Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Corn cob\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2<\/li>\n<li>Button mushroom (Thinly sliced)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 6<\/li>\n<li>Chopped ginger\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bd T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Chopped garlic : 2 T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Corn flour\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 TbL sp.<\/li>\n<li>Water\u00a0\u00a0 : 5 \u00bd cups<\/li>\n<li>Pepper powder\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Oil\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Green onion (Chopped)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 Stems<\/li>\n<li>Salt for taste<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Method<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cook the corn using enough water. (If using pressure cooker, use sufficient water to immerse the corn\u00a0and cooked for 3- 4 whistles).<\/li>\n<li>Rest the cooked corn for getting cool enough to handle the corn.<\/li>\n<li>Cut the kernels from the cob, and keep the kernels of one cob separate, and other cob kernels into a blender.<\/li>\n<li>Make a pur\u00e9e of kernels using enough water and strain it using a strainer.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl add the corn flour and dilute with one cup of water and add the strained pur\u00e9e along with the water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(I used 5.5 Cup of water altogether for blending, diluting and straining.\u00a0Adding water for straining will help the process easier.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a kadai\/ soup-pot, add the oil\u00a0 and put the mushrooms along with ginger and garlic .<\/li>\n<li>Fry it for 2 minutes, then close the lid and cook the mushrooms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(No need for adding any water, Mushrooms itself will discharge some\u00a0 water)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the lid in-between and check the water level.<\/li>\n<li>Once the mushrooms cooked well, add the corn-flour water along with salt and pepper ,<\/li>\n<li>Allow it to boil well.<\/li>\n<li>Then add the corn kernels along with the spring onion and cook it for another 3-4 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Switch off the stove and serve the soup hot with pepper and salt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/cream-of-corn-soup\/p2s-soupsts2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1851\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1851\" alt=\"P2S-SoupSts2\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupSts2.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupSts2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupSts2-150x102.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupSts2-300x205.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/cream-of-corn-soup\/p2s-soupstps1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1850\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1850\" alt=\"P2S-SoupStps1\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupStps1.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupStps1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupStps1-150x51.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/P2S-SoupStps1-300x102.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tips:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instead of oil can use butter may be used for better aroma and richness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The consistency should be medium thick .
