The name Mixture comes from the combination of ingredients this snack has in it. The recipe I share here is of mixture (\u0d2e\u0d3f\u0d1a\u0d4d\u0d1a\u0d7c)\u00a0 in its extreme spicy form which is one of the favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/category\/kerala-specials\/tea_time\/\">snacks <\/a>of Kerala. \u00a0This is a special preparation in festival occasions and also as a tea time snack since this chilli hot crispy mix goes very well with milk-tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>For Sev:-<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Besan \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 5 cups<\/li>\n<li>Rice powder\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bc T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Asafoetida\u00a0 : 2 pinch<\/li>\n<li>Chilli Powder\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 T sp.<\/li>\n<li>Salt as per taste<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>For Boondhi :-<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Besan\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 3 cups<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder\u00a0\u00a0 \u00bc T Sp.<\/li>\n<li>Asafoetida\u00a0 : A pinch<\/li>\n<li>Oil\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 Tbl sp.<\/li>\n<li>Salt as per taste<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Other Ingredients:-<\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Peanuts\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2 \u00bd Cups<\/li>\n<li>Crushed garlic (with skin)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 12<\/li>\n<li>Curry leaves\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bd cup<\/li>\n<li>Splitted green chilli\u00a0\u00a0 : 8<\/li>\n<li>Chilli Powder, Salt and Hing : as per taste.<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>For Sav<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix all the ingredients in the Sev section. Add enough water to make soft yet firm dough.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a pan\/kadai of oil on medium high heat.<\/li>\n<li>Load the String Hopper maker with the dough and press it into the oil in a circular motion. Don\u2019t overcrowd the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Fry it till one side is done and flip over. When it is crispy take it out of the oil and place it on a paper towel and let the excess oil drain. (The consistency can be decided with a simple test. The batter should flow through the holes of the spatula on a medium speed. If it flows too fast, then the batter is too thin and if it won\u2019t fall, then the batter is too thick).<\/li><li>Once the batter is made, drop it on to the spatula with holes that is held on top of the hot oil and allow dripping into the oil. Don\u2019t overcrowd the pan.<\/li><li>Fry till crispy. Drain it onto a paper towel.
