The recipe uses non-sticky rice and bunch of vegetables along with common spices. You can make it more delicious (and of course more Indian), using ghee instead of oil and adding some fried cashews &amp; raisins towards the end.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">For rice<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Basmati rice\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 \u00bd cup<\/li>\n<li>Water\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 3 \u00be cup<\/li>\n<li>Salt for taste<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For Vegetable<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Chopped carrot\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00be cup<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Chopped beans\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00be cup<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Chopped bell pepper\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00be cup<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Chopped cabbage\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00be cup<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Pepper powder\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bd \u00a0T sp.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Soya sauce\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 \u00bd T. sp.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Garlic paste\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 2 \u00a0T sp.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Oil\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 \u00bd \u00a0Tbl sp.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0964.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1241\" alt=\"IMG_0964\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0964.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"531\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0964.jpg 480w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0964-271x300.jpg 271w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Method<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a pressure cooker add the rice, water along with salt.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the stove\/heater setting for high temperature.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for one whistle and switch it off, and keep the cooker in the stove\/heater.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note: If you are using the gas stove, after first whistle low the flame and keep it for another 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>After the pressure releases completely, move the rice to a wide vessel for cooling down.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a kadai \/ pan on the stove add the oil.<\/li>\n<li>Add the vegetables along with the garlic paste.<\/li>\n<li>Stir everything, after 3 minutes add the pepper powder and soya sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Add enough salt, since we already put salt in the rice , adjust the salt here.<\/li>\n<li>Once the vegetables cooked (don&#8217;t be over cook itt should be slightly crunchy), add the cooked rice to that and mix everything well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0966.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1239\" alt=\"IMG_0966\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0966.jpg\" width=\"511\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0966.jpg 511w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/IMG_0966-300x281.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 511px) 100vw, 511px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tips:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can use any other method for cooking the rice .
