My mom used to make this as a breakfast dish and sometime as an evening teatime snack. This semi-crispy and sweet dish ,prepared with wheat\/rice flour goes well with the tea, or a breakfast dish\u00a0without the need of any additional side dish or curry. The toughest part for making this dish for me was getting banana leaves, which I got during my last weekend shopping from a Chinese grocery market.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Wheat flour\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Grated coconut : 1 cup<\/li>\n<li>Jaggery (grated)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : \u00bd cup<\/li>\n<li>Salt\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 : a pinch<\/li>\n<li>Water for kneading the dough<\/li>\n<li>Banana leaves cut to ~ 8\u201d square<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2S_Otda.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1169\" src=\"http:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2S_Otda.jpg\" alt=\"P2S_Otda\" width=\"640\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2S_Otda.jpg 640w, https:\/\/pepper2salt.com\/sindhus-kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2S_Otda-300x223.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Method<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix the coconut and jaggery together.<\/li>\n<li>In a vessel add the wheat flour along with the salt.<\/li>\n<li>Add a little water at a time for kneading the dough and make a soft and smooth dough.<br \/>\nThe dough should be looser than chappathi dough.<\/li>\n<li>Take lemon sized dough and keep it on the center of the banana leaf.
