A healthy chapatti (Indian flat bread) preparation with wheat flour mixed with chopped spinach (Palak). The recipe is a tricky alternative to feed kids those naturally have the resistance to take green vegetables like spinach as a separate dish. The greenish aesthetics of the chapatti makes this dish favorable to kids and also elders. Serving with a traditional side dish, veg or non-veg, spinach chapatti will be a complete healthy delight to serve as a breakfast of dinner.

Ingredients
- Wheat flour : 1 ½ cup
- Finely chopped spinach : ½ cup
- Turmeric powder : A pinch
- Pepper powder : A pinch
- Salt for taste
- Water : ½ – ¾ cup
- Oil/ ghee
Method
- In a vessel add the salt and dilute with a little water.
- Then add the pepper and turmeric powder and mix it well.
- Add the chopped spinach and wheat flour and mix it together. Add water little at a time and knead it, without pouring too much water at a time
- Keep on kneading till the dough is c soft and non-sticky.
- Keep dough in a closed container for about 30 minutes to get better softness.
- Then divide the dough into 10 equal balls.
- Keep the dough ball, one at a time in chapatti roller board & sprinkle some dry wheat flour into the roller board/ dough ball.
- Flatten the dough with the help of a roller pin
- Keep a tawa (chapatti pan) in the stove and heat it, then add the rolled chapatti dough . Can see the bubbles on it, then spread some oil / ghee on it and flip it.
- Spread some oil on that side and press it with a laddle or kitchen towel.
- Cook both sides until the chapatti turns to brown color.
Tips:-
– Water quantity may vary with the brand of wheat flour used.
– Spinach itself have water content, do adjust the water quantity.
