This is another my successful effort to recreate the taste of a wonderful prawn recipe, which I tasted years back in Goa (India). I thought its really a great choice for me to publish an international dish as my 200th Recipe ….. Rissoles, also known as rissóis, is a deep fried Portuguese snack preparation, using breaded fish or shrimp. Can be a great starter option for parties and family events, when served with ketchup or tomato sauce.
Ingredients
For margination:
- Large shrimps : 10
- Ginger paste : ¼ T- Sp
- Garlic paste : ¼ T- Sp
- Pepper powder : ¼ T- Sp
- Salt for taste
For covering.
- Potato (boiled) : 3 medium
- Ginger-garlic paste : ½ T- Sp
- Chilli powder : ½ T- Sp
- Salt for taste
- Egg : 1
- Bread crumbs : 2 Tbl- Sp
For coating:-
- Egg : 1
- Bread crumbs : ½ Cup (adjust)
- Oil for frying
Method
- Devein the shelled (keeping the tail-on) the shrimps.
- Marinate the shrimp with the ingredients listed for about 20 minutes.
- Smash the potato in a smooth texture and mix with the ingredients mentioned for covering.
- Take a big lemon sized ball and flatten it, keep the shrimp in the center and cover it (see the pic).
- Take two separate bowl, keep bread crumps in one bowl, and beat the egg in the second bowl.
- Take each of the shaped shrimp and dip it into the egg mix and dip the same into the bread crumbs to cover well.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the prepared shrimp until golden color.
