Lemon Chicken

A delicious chicken preparation to go in to my international collection. This easy recipe is one of the most popular main dish chicken recipes in American cuisines. Typically paired with crisp veggies, along with side of rice or potatoes to put together a delicious dinner.

Ingredients

  1. Chicken breast (skinless boneless) : 4 pieces
  2. Lemon zest :  2 T-sp
  3. Lemon juice ( big) :  1
  4. Rose Mary : 1 Tbl-sp
  5. Olive oil : 1 Tbl-sp (Adjust)
  6. Garlic paste :  2 T-sp
  7. Pepper Powder : 1 Tbl-sp
  8. Salt for taste

Method

  • Clean the chicken pieces and make deep gashes into the chicken.
  • In a bowl add the ingredients (except chicken) and mix well.
  • Marinate the chicken into the masala and keep it for about 2-3 hours, preferably overnight in the fridge.
  • Preheat the oven to broil for 10 minutes.
  • Grease an oven safe try/ dish  and keep the chicken pieces.(Do not use glass trays for broiling, that might break while broiling)
  • Broil it for about 10 minutes , brush some oil on top of the chicken 1 or 2 times while broiling. this will keep the chicken soft and moistened.
  • Flip the chicken  and broil the other side for about another 10 minutes, brush some oil 1 or 2 times.

Tips:

  • Adjust the ingredients to your taste.
  • cooking time vary , so check the chicken after 5-6 minutes of broiling.
  • Use oil/butter for brushing  the chicken.
